For FCVB’s holiday season, we collaborated with the ad agency Idea Peddler on its latest campaign, “Night of Lights.” The concept blends rich history, culture, and family in a timeless and historic setting, creating a piece that speaks to the season's spirit and the community that enjoys it.

Our goal for this project was to ensure that all content and deliverables were prepared in time for FCVB’s Night of Lights. This endeavor came with an expedited timeline; however, thanks to the teamwork of both Salado and IP, we not only met the deadline but exceeded expectations, delivering three broadcast spots we’re proud of.

For this shoot, our DoP/Director, Dino Maglaris, crafted three spots revolving around a family’s holiday outing in Fredericksburg. Following a detailed storyboard, Dino utilized the Tribe7 Black Wing lenses, helping us deliver an elevated, stylized look that also remained clean and sharp. The overall ambiance of the shoot exuded a vibrant, hill-country vibe, perfectly alligning with the brand.

With over six shooting locations, we needed two full shoot days to get all the content for Idea Peddler’s campaign. While capturing both stills and video content, our hard-working crew was able to execute the creative because of our amazing assistant director. Able to keep everyone on schedule, this shoot is a testament to their preparation and organization. Dealing with drastic changes in weather, lighting, and logistical challenges, our production crew showed exceptional teamwork to get the job done under stressful circumstances.
